Here's an Olympic laurel wreath crown craft just in time for the 2012 London Olympics. The athletes in the ancient Olympic games didn't receive medals, but simply a laurel wreath crown and the glory of the fans.

- large paper plate
- green and light green construction paper
- scissors
- glue
- tape
- ribbon
Directions:
- Cut the center out of a large paper plate.
- Cut about a quarter out of the ring, so it fits the head better.
- Cut many simple leaves from green and light green paper.
- Start at the back end of the paper plate rim and start gluing the leaves in alternating colors down one side, then the other.
- Continue gluing the leaves together past the ends of the paper plate a few inches.
- Secure the bottom of the leaves that extend out with some tape.
- Tie a ribbon around the back of the wreath.
- Wear your Olympic laurel wreath crown craft watching the games or at your next toga party.
