Presient's Day Mt. Rushmore Coin Rubbings Craft

 

This is a great President's Day Mt Rushmore Craft idea using coin rubbings.

Materials:

• white paper
• brown crayon
• a quarter, nickel, dime, and penny
• scissors
• glue
• blue construction paper

Directions:

1. Tape the coins face down on white paper in the following order; penny, dime, nickel, penny.
2. Turn over and rub all over with a brown crayon to make the rubbings. Rub over a large area.
3. Cut out the rubbings in a mountain, Mt. Rushmore like shape.
4. Glue the mountain to a sheet of blue construction paper.
5. Include a hand out on Mt. Rushmore if desired.
