Paper Towel Trees

This is a fabulous looking craft idea using brown paper towels, the thick ones often used in schools and craft tissue paper. The end result almost looks like twisted hemp.

Materials:

• brown paper towels
• fall colored tissue paper
• blue sheet of construction paper
• glue

Directions:

1. Take long strips of brown paper towels and twist them into tree trunk shapes.
2. Glue onto blue paper.
3. Twist smaller strips for branches
4. Crumple up fall colored tissue paper and glue all around for leaves.

Alternatives:

1. Instead of fall colors, use pink for a cherry tree.
2. If you don't have brow paper towels, use yarn instead.
