  4. When you twist the peanut puppet, the bottle cap hands hit the body like the drum from the Karate Kid 2.

Drections:

  1. Paint wooden egg and all the spools and beads pink. Allow to dry.
  2. Twist 4 pink pipe cleaners in the middle. Spread  the ends to look like an octopus.
  3. For each arm of your octopus, thread on the big spool, then 2 medium spools, and 2 mall spools. Thread a bead between each spool as you go. Put a bead on after the last spool and twist the end of the pipe cleaner to secure each leg.
  4. Trace and paint eyes and a mouth on your egg.
  5. Glue the egg securely to the middle of your octopus.
  6. Tie a ribbon around your octopus' neck.

Variation: You could adapt the same concept to make a spider craft for Halloween.

Halloween Recycled Bottle Monster Crafts

These cute Halloween recycled bottle monsters are perfect for holding candy at your next Halloween party.

Materials:

  • 2 liter plastic drink bottles(washed and dried)
  • magic marker
  • acrylic paints
  • construction paper
  • exacto knife
  • imagination

Directions:

  1. Beforehand, decide what kind of monster you want to make and what colors you need. Sketch a face on paper first.
  2. Draw the face on the bottle with a marker.
  3. Cut out the mouth with an exacto knife.  Cut off the top of the bottle, too to fill with candy. I don't recommend making pointy teeth as they are sharp and can prick a finger.
  4. Paint your bottle and make the eyes.
  5. Add hair or hands with construction paper.
  6. Fill with candy for your Halloween party or put a light inside and watch them glow.

Halloween Furry Fuzzy Ghosts Craft

This Halloween furry fuzzy ghosts craft is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. I love this idea. It reminds me of Cousin It on the Adams Family.

Materials:

  • Styrofoam cones
  • Fun Fur(from a local craft store)
  • white craft glue
  • scissors
  • marker
  • colored google eyes
  • straight pins

Directions:
  1. Place the fun fur face down on the table. Start at one edge and roll the cone up in the fur, marking the bottom curve with a marker.
  2. Unravel the cone and mark the top curve. Include about an extra 1 inch on the edge of the fur piece. This will be the flap you glue over on top when you glue on your cone.
  3. Cut out the fur.
  4. Apply glue all over the back of the fur and roll up the cone inside wrapping the flap over the top. This part will be the back of your ghost. Stick in some straight pins to hold in place. Allow to dry.
  5. Blow a little bit on the face and glue on the eyes.
  6. Shake upside down or use a hair dryer for an extra fluffy look.
